Carl is a Woodland Heights resident and is on a mission to cross-pollinate Richmond’s communities and its people.

As a descendant of slaves and veterans, including a Tuskegee Airman, Carl understands that our past has a close relationship with our present and our future. His observations in the community and his profession reinforce that listening to understand people’s needs can solve great problems. Learning, empathy, and compassion are critical to improving our environments, making them more equitable and sustainable.
