Thank You Friends and Neighbors and FOFP Updates

Happy Thanksgiving from the Friends of Fonticello Park.

To neighbors, friends, members, supporters, advocates, partners, and all park community… Thank you!

We cannot achieve what we have without you. Fonticello Park is safer, more popular, and more beautiful with the hard work and collaboration of this community.

We held a productive member meeting for November, covering a few new and ongoing topics.

Park Improvements

The Recreation/Bath House and Splash Pad Construction

The updated construction start time is early winter. For previous updates regarding this, you can find more details in the October Member Meeting.

The Skate Park and Basketball Courts

When we posted updates on our socials about the construction, there was an overwhelming response. Many of you helped recognize that the skate park was an improvement that had fallen off our radar after an abundance of community input over the last couple of years. We quickly inquired about the project’s status with Parks and Recreation.

At the November Member meeting, we acknowledged that we need to present the park community with more details about what work is achievable with the remaining funds allocated from the city. We’ll need to reestablish what the priorities are and align on the path forward.

Please let us know if you have any questions or ideas to share!

Thank you!

Your neighbor,

Carl Joseph, FoFP Board Chair
