Ja’Nai Frederick, OD, FAAO, Dip. ABO, MBA is board certified optometrist and Navy veteran. Dr. Frederick has a BS in Psychology from the Florida State University, Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry, and MBA from the Mason School of Business at William and Mary. She is a park neighbor that is passionate about building healthy, inclusive, and resilient communities in Richmond’s Southside. As team captain in the Better Housing Coalition’s 2022 Gingerbread Housing Challenge, she led the Friends of Fonticello Park team to their inaugural win, generating $1K for the park.

Ja’Nai was the Board Co-Chair and on the Governance and Board Development Committee from September 2022 – September 2023.
